Offer
The table holds three sticks at once. Each of the seven incenses makes different smoke: sandalwood rises pale and straight, ambergris barely smokes at all, Tibetan incense is thick and medicinal. Sticks burn on real time — close the app and it keeps going.
Stillness
Pick something to do — read, write, or just sit — and light a stick to start. The screen holds nothing but the stick and its smoke, with a stream, rain, pines or a temple bell if you want one. When the stick is done, so is the session.
Shrine
A new shrine is empty — nothing is set for you in advance. When you're ready you write it yourself: the title, the name, the date. Tablets are placed by seniority, left and right, the way convention has it. You'll get a word ahead of an anniversary, and at Qingming.
Almanac
Lunar date, sexagenary cycle, zodiac, solar terms and the old auspicious-and-inauspicious lists, all worked out by traditional reckoning. Days you offered incense are marked on the calendar, so you can look back and find them.
Catalogue
Sandalwood is there from the start. The rest unlock by offering incense on consecutive days, or by trading merit, and a couple appear only around Duanwu and Mid-Autumn. Each card says exactly what it takes and how far off you are.
Offline
There is no account, no server, and not one line of code that reaches the network. How many sticks you've lit, what you wished for, whose tablet you set — all of it is written to your phone's own storage. Nobody can take it, and we can't see it.

The app sends no requests at all. Works in airplane mode.
No banners, no interstitials, no tracking SDKs.
No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising ID.
The flip side: it only lives on this phone. Change devices or delete the app and the records are gone — there's no cloud backup yet.

Some things other apps do, we don't. Better you know before you install.
No divination sticks, no readings, no yearly luck. The almanac's lists are part of the calendar itself — a nudge, not a verdict.
No in-app purchases, no paid blessings, no paying your troubles away. Merit comes from burning incense and nothing else.
Tapping ten thousand times gets you nothing here. This app moves at the speed of one stick.
Offering incense is intent, not output. It guarantees nothing, and we'd rather say so plainly.
It's free, and there are no in-app purchases. All seven incenses unlock through use or merit.
No. There is no account system at all. It never asks for a phone number or an email address.
No. Incense Table is for stillness, remembrance and intention — not divination, lots or luck readings. The almanac page shows what traditional calendars have always contained; treat it as a nudge.
On the offering table, yes — sticks burn on real time, so you can close the app and come back to see how far along it is. In Stillness, no: leaving the app puts the stick out and the session doesn't count. That's the point of that screen.
It's stored only on your own phone and never uploaded. Because of that, changing devices or deleting the app loses the records — there's no backup or transfer feature yet.
Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese and Vietnamese. It follows your system language by default and falls back to Traditional Chinese.
That's deliberate. A tablet is an object with a way of being written — Vietnamese thần chủ and Japanese ihai are written in Han characters too. The interface changes language; the few characters on the tablet keep to convention.
By how long a stick burns, with rarer incense earning more per minute, capped at 540 a day. Only the offering table earns merit — the shrine is for your ancestors and Stillness is for you, so sticks and streaks still count there, but merit doesn't.
